Freelance Lead User Experience Designer
Creating user centered digital products and services usually includes research, design, documentation and last not least alignment activities.
Relying on quantitative data in combination with user interviews is a great starting point for user experience optimization challenges.
I usually work with dedicated user researchers or research agencies, but I can perform own research from interviewing users to card sorting or usuablity testing.
I am tool agnostic, usually for experience design documentation I rely on Confluence. For wireframes and prototypes I use Axure RP, Framer, Sketch & Invision or Figma.
Customer journeys - be it research based or conceptual - are great to identify paint points as the starting points for improvements.
Low resolution wireflows or higher resolution user interface flows will help to map out the whole picture on how users are going to achieve their goals with your digital product or service.
Wireframes simplify a page or a view and let the designer iterate on structure and content before taking the next step with user interface design. Prototypes are helpful on all stages from low fidelity to illustrate a flow to high fidelity prototypes which can simulate a product.
